Tirumala, June 29: Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh K Rosaiah said his government would not interfere in the Tirumala ‘Archaka’ issue and the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials would look into it.
Mr Rosaiah, who arrived here yesterday for darshan of lord Venkateswara Swamy, talking to the media said the controversy between Tirumala archakas would be solved by the TTD and the government would not involve in it.
Earlier, on arrival he was received with temple tradition by the temple officials.
After darshan, he was blessed by veda pandits and presented ‘Sri Vari’ prasadams by TTD officials at ‘Ranganayakula mandapam’ inside the temple.
Later, he proceeded to Padmavathi guest house, where he will stay night halt.
Before leaving for Hyderabad, the Chief Minister will participate in the morning rituals at the temple.
Meanwhile, earlier in the evening, the Tirumala temple Chief priest Mr A V Ramana Dikshitulu , speaking to the media, said the TTD Executive Officer Mr I Y R Krishna Rao had not taken adequate steps to adopt the ‘Mirasi’ system of archakas even though the Chief Minister had considered the same. The priest said he had met the EO several times over the Mirasi system implementation, but he had not responded positively.
He also alleged special officer Mr A V Dharma Reddy of creating differences between the archakas of the Mirasi order and the priests taken on contract basis. It may be noted here that Mr Dikshitulu a few days ago met the Chief Minister in Hyderabad and had complained against the Special Officer Mr Dharma Reddy, saying that he had been harassing them in the temple.
