Government fails to protect wakf properties: Zahid Ali Khan

Hyderabad, October 27 (Siasat News): Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, member TDP politburo said that the state government is not concerned in protecting wakf properties and all Muslims will have to come forward to do the needful.

Mr. Khan was speaking to media persons after visiting Idgah Gutla Begumpet. He said that 90 acres of land endowment under Idgah Gutla Begumpet and for its ownership, more than eight cases are under process in different courts where the court has ordered that the status of the wakf properties should be kept as it is.

But one can see the audacity of Vahana builders, Pallavi enclave and others that despite the court orders, they are not a bit bothered. Rubbing salt on the wounds is that Huda is laying 200 ft wide road from in between the land meant for Idgah to connect Hitech city with Madhapur.

Mr. Zahid Ali Khan offered his zohar namaz at Idgah only and inspected the work, which is going on in wrapped manner by the builders.

In the meantime, the members of the managing committee of Idgah M/s Md. Saleem Ahmed, Md. Munawar Khan, Md. Baig and Md. Mushtaq narrated the story to M/s Zahid Ali Khan, Ali Masqati, Ali Bin Sayeed, Md. Azam, Md. Ateeq and Osman Bin Hajri, president Deccan wakf properties protection committee that by contempt of court, the builders are trying to level the ground.

Local Muslims complained that whenever any repairing work at Idgah or burial of the dead body is done in the graveyard, police always try to prevent them by giving the reference of on going disputes in courts whereas the activities of the builders are ignored.

On this, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan said since the case is pending in the court, it is our duty to honour the order of the court. If builders would try to change the status of the on going case, it would be the responsibility of the state government to take the stern action against the culprits.
