Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan today released a book ‘Reminiscences of a Senior Citizen’ an autobiography cum random reflections on law written by late Talari Anantha Babu, an eminent lawyer and former Advocate General at a function in Raj Bhavan here. The book provides a ringside view of the legal profession and reflections on the majesty of Law, the course of justice and need to provide speedy and effective justice. While releasing the book, the Governor referred to the qualities of head and heart of Mr Babu and the yeoman services rendered by him to uphold the rule of law. The Governor said that the book ‘Reminiscences of a Senior Citizen’ would be a good addition to the limited number of books by advocates about their legal practice. It would prove to be a good guide to budding advocates as it expounds the advocate’s code of conduct, duties and responsibilities, Mr Narasimhan said. Speaking on the occasion Minister for Tourism Vatti Vasanth Kumar said Mr Anantha Babu was elected President of the AP High Court Advocates Association three times. He was Counsel for the Bhargava Commission and Vimdalal Commission. He was also legal adviser to AP State Electricity Board, AP State Financial Corporation, Income Tax Department, Central Excise Department and PSUs like FCI, ECIL with good advocacy skills. He commanded the attention of the Court and judges who used to listen to him with attention.
