‘GOT’ Season 8 will film until summer 2018: Liam Cunningham

Washington: ‘Game of Thrones’ fans, we might have some bad news for you.

The show’s actor Liam Cunningham, who portrays Ser Davos on the show, revealed that Season 8 of HBO’s blockbuster TV series will film until summer 2018, according to Contactmusic.com.

While talking with TV Guide, Cunningham revealed, “[The episodes are] definitely going to be bigger and what I hear is longer. We’re filming right up until the summer. When you think about it, up until last season we’d have six months to do ten episodes, so we’re [doing] way more than that for six episodes. So that obviously will translate into longer episodes.”

It seems like the final season is potentially being pushed all the way to 2019 to hand showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss and an all-star group of directors the chance to give Game of Thrones the grand finale it deserves.

The actor also revealed that the cast will gather in Belfast this weekend for a table read of the entire season.

Earlier, GoT showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss told in an interview that they plan to spend a year-and-a-half making the final season.

Season 8 will be directed by three teams of directors: previous ‘GoT’ Emmy winners Miguel Sapochnik and David Nutter, along with the showrunners Benioff and Weiss. (ANI)
