Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai has been awarded $199m in shares, which ultimately made him the highest paid chief executive in U.S.
According to Forbes, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, founders of Google have amassed fortunes of $34.6bn and $33.9bn.
43 years old Sundar Pichai, was awarded 273,328 Alphabet shares on 3 February, worth a total of $199m, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Pichai who became CEO of Google on August 10 2015 joined the company since 2004. He initially lead product management on a number of Google’s client products including Google Chrome and Chrome OS. He was also responsible for the development of Google drive, gmail and google maps.
He previously worked in engineering and product management at Applied Materials and as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.
