Google Maps to display speed limits in Android, iOS app

California: Google Maps has rolled out its speed limit feature available for all Android and iOS users in more regions including the United States, Denmark and the United Kingdom.

Android Police”>Android Police reported that the feature is live now in New York City, Los Angeles, and Minnesota areas of in US.

As of July 2017, the feature was only available in the San Francisco Bay Area in California and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.

The feature will display speed limit on roads in the left corner of the application.

In addition to the speed limit, a camera icon denoting the location of the speed cameras to alert drivers of upcoming speed traps. The speed camera icons will be rolled out to users in Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Indonesia, Mexico, and Russia, in addition to the UK and US users.
