Google Map adds real-time traffic info for 12 more Indian cities, highways, expressways

Google has added real-time traffic information for a dozen Indian cities, national highways and expressways in the country to its maps.

Google Maps is a desktop and mobile web mapping advertising service developed by Google. It offers satellite imagery, street maps, 360° panoramic views of streets (Street View), real-time traffic conditions (Google Traffic), and route planning for traveling by foot, car, bicycle or public transportation.

According to thenextweb.com, users can now use Google Maps to view traffic conditions in Kolkata, Coimbatore, Lucknow, Surat, Thiruvananthapuram, Indore, Ludhiana, Visakhapatnam, Nagpur, Kochi, Madurai and Bhopal.

Earlier, the company had added Indian Railways schedules for 12,000 trains on Google Transit, in addition to bus and metro information for Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. (ANI)
