New York, September 11: If one wonders that there has been something wrong in his PC regarding the fonts while using Google, then there’s nothing to worry, it’s neither your PC nor your fault; its Google! According to the sources, Google has announced that it has increased the font size of the search box that appears at its home page, providing the users with a lot more space to search their queries.
“Although this is a very simple idea with an even simpler change, but we are very excited about it,” said George VP Marissa Mayer in a blog post of his, thereby announcing the minute change. Earlier, netizens flocked to their PC’s wondering the sudden change in the font size in Google’s search engine home page, thereby stirring up speculations regarding the change. But the announcement has revealed that the change has been made by the company themselves as they say the change “supersizes” the search box and the users can be the best judge.
“It symbolizes our focus on search and it makes our clean, minimalist homepage even easier and more fun to use. The new, larger Google box features larger text when you type so that you can see your query more clearly. It also uses a larger text size for the suggestions below the search box, making it easier to select one of the possible refinements,” said Mayer.
The changes that have been made in the search page are subtle enough and are done meaningfully. Google is still working on bringing in some more changes in their home page.
