Hyderabad, November 22: Road shows by the State Congress leaders have received good response from the public on the last day of campaigning for November 23 GHMC polls. Even on the second day of the campaigning, Kadapa MP Jagan Mohan Reddy received tremendous response from both the party cadre as well as the public.
Calling upon the people to treat him as their `younger brother’, Jagan, addressing road side meetings at Kundanbagh and Addagutta municipal divisions in Secunderabad Assembly segment this morning, once again lashed out at former Chief Minister and opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu for lack of `credibility’ in fulfilling pre-poll promises made by the latter before 2004. He urged the voters to exerchise their franchise in favour of Congress candidates as it would be a tribute to his father late Rajasekhara Reddy. Later, he addressed several meetings in the divisions falling under Musheerabad, Khairathabad, Nampally, Goshamahal and Karwan Assembly constituencies.
Meanwhile, there was also tremendous response to the meetings addressed by Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas at Patancheru and Ramachandrapuram and also to meetings addressed by senior Congress leaders V Hanumantha Rao and Renuka Chowdary in Amberpet area.
They urged the people to cast their vote to the Congress paving way for smooth implementation of various city developmental programmes undertaken by Rajasekhara Reddy.
