Hyderabad: There is good news for minority students aspiring to study abroad as the government has added 10 more countries in the list of countries eligible for the scholarship. Presently 5 countries were eligible for the scholarship. Government has also decided to double the scholarship amount from earlier 10 lakh to 20 lakh. Besides this number of countries will also be increased.
Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel who is also Director Minority Welfare has sent recommendations to the government regarding the scheme. GO will be issued after approving the proposal. Online applications will be invited from the students.
Mr. Jaleel told that proposal has been sent to add nearly 10 countries including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kirghizstan, Egypt, Germany and other 4. Presently the countries eligible for the scholarship are USA, UK, Australia, Canada and Singapore.
