Hyderabad, December 19: Mr Gone Prakash Rao, a staunch supporter of the Kadapa former MP, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, has predicted that Mr Jagan in Seema-Andhra region and TRS in Telangana region would sweep the local body elections scheduled to be held in July next. He also opined that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy would become the Chief Minister of the State if mid-term elections were held after the local body elections.
Speaking at the Assembly media point on Saturday, Mr Gone said that the TDP would occupy second place in both the regions and the ruling Congress would stand at third place. He also opined that the Congress MLAs would join hands with Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy after the local body election results were declared. He also disclosed that that Mr Jagan would launch his party before the local body elections. He claimed that Mr Jagan would make a statement in favor of Telangana and would get a good majority in the Telangana region too.
Condemning the Transport Minister, Mr Botcha Sathyanarayana’s statement against Mr Jagan, Mr Gone said that the minister was an opportunist as he supports whoever is in power.
