400-year-old, Ek Khana Masjid which belongs to Qutub Shahi era is located at Uppuguda. The Masjid is uninhabited since 1990. An architectural masterpiece, the beautiful Masjid has become a relic as prayer is not offered there for the past 24 years.
Two years ago during communal tension miscreants had damaged the Masjid. Surprisingly not a single miscreant was arrested despite lodging a complaint in this connection. The Masjid is not even repaired after damaged by the miscreants.
However now the Masjid will come on road-side as the roads before it is in the master plan. As per the Waqf board record the Masjid land is 240 sqyd. If the Waqf board pays attention the Masjid can be restored.
