New Delhi, October 29: Gold prices recovered at bullion market.

Gold prices recovered smartly at the bullion market here on Friday due to revival of demand from stockists and jewellery makers driven by bullish overseas trend.

The industrial metal too made a come back on renewed speculative interest coupled with industrial offtake.

Fresh buying from retail consumer as well good investment driven buying ahead of upcoming Diwali festivals boosted the market sentiment, traders said.

Standard gold (99.5 purity) shot up by Rs 140 per 10 grams to end at Rs 19,450 from yesterday’s closing level of Rs 19,310.

Pure gold (99.9 purity) also rose by a similar margin of Rs 140 per 10 grams to finish at Rs 19,545 over its previous close of Rs 19,405.

Silver ready (.999 fineness) strengthened by Rs 215 per kg to end at Rs 36,820 from 36,605 yesterday.

In New York, gold for December delivery gained by USD 19.
