Four highway robbers have waylaid a couple at Bonglur ORR under Vanasthalipuram police limits and relieved the housewife of her gold ornaments weighing three tolas.
According to the police, Narasimha and Sunita were returning on bike from Ravirala village under Ibrahimpatnam mandal after attending a function when the desperadoes waylaid the couple at Bonglur ORR and snatched the jewellery of the housewife. They said the culprits brutally assaulted Narasimha and threatened to kill him if he screamed for help or complained to the police and snatched 30 gram gold chain from his wife.
On receipt of the information, the Vanasthalipuram police men rushed to the spot and taken up investigation.
