New Delhi : Godrej Appliances announced its investment plans of Rs. 200 crore to hike production at two of its manufacturing units based at Shirwal near Pune and Mohali in Punjab.

According to the company released statement, Godrej Appliances intends to undertake brown-field expansion at two of their existing home appliances manufacturing facilities.

It further said, “Entailing an investment of around Rs. 200 crore, the brown-field projects will help to ramp up production of air conditioners, washing machines and refrigerators at both locations.”

“The proposed expansion will allow us to meet the increasing demand from customers and expand our footprint to an even larger area,” said Godrej Appliances Business Head and EVP Kamal Nandi.

He added that Godrej Appliances had in April announced its plans to increase the number of exclusive brand outlets ( EBOs) in the country within a year to 100 from 42 at present. (ANI)
