Kolkata:White goods major, Godrej Appliances remains buoyant on growth prospects and is aiming at 27 per cent topline growth to Rs 3,500 crore in the current fiscal.
“Godrej Appliances achieved a turnover of Rs 2,750 crore in FY15. In FY16, we are targeting a turnover of Rs 3,500 crore,” Godrej Appliances Business Head & EVP Kamal Nandi told PTI.
Product strategy and expansion of footprints would fuel the growth, he said.
Speaking about the products, he said the company was optimistic of the summer launches in ACs and refrigerator segments.
“Our plan for the upcoming festive season is to build on these recent major launches and drive preference for the brand through these best-in-class products,” he added.
“We plan to increase our footprint by 15 per cent in this fiscal. Currently, we are present in over 25,000 outlets across India with over 6,000 outlets in East alone,” Nandi said.
He said in two years we should open 100 exclusive brand outlets contributing nearly 3-4 per cent to the company’s turnover.
“Currently in the consumer appliances industry, about 10-12 per cent of sales are made through EBOs as a sales channel, it is bigger than ecommerce and is growing at an annual rate of 20 percent,” Nandi said.
