Hyderabad: Curtains came down on the 12-day-long ‘Godavari Pushkaram’ in Telangana on Saturday.
Crores of devotees took holy dip in the numerous bathing ghats across the state with the state government making elaborate arrangements for the festival.
Expressing happiness over the successful completion of the festival, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhaer Rao said that the officials and employees from police, revenue, transport and other departments have worked hard for the festival.
“The ‘Pushkaram’ in Krishna river to be held next year and other events would be conducted with the same spirit,” the CM was quoted as saying in an official release.
