Commodore MVS Kumar, Director Sainik Welfare of Andhra Pradesh interacted with Major General N Srinivas Rao, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA) at Vijayawada today. Important issues related to Ex-Servicemen welfare were discussed such as Computerisation of records of Ex-Servicemen, Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme, Canteen Stores Department Canteen, Pension, and Re-employment of veterans during the interaction.
The General Officer Commanding restated the support of the Headquarters, Telangana and Andhra Sub Area in all welfare activities being undertaken by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and assured cooperation in ensuring the welfare of Ex-Servicemen and their dependents which is of paramount importance. The General officer was in the capital of the state to discuss the issues with senior Government officials with regards to the welfare of serving soldiers and Veterans. (NSS)
