As promised by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and the decision taken by the State Government to provide government jobs to the kin of all the deceased and permanently incapacitated persons in the twin bomb blasts on February 21 in Dilsukhnagar, the Chief Minister today handed over appointment order as Junior Assistant in the office of the Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry, Mamidipally, Ranga Reddy District to N Sujatha, wife of late N Venkateswarlu, Junior Veterinary Officer, who died in the bomb blast. The Chief Minister also assured all assistance to her children who were studying IIT and Intermediate.
Following directions from Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, the State government issued orders for payment of ex gratia to the tune of Rs 6 lakhs each to the next of the kin of the deceased as well as permanently incapacitated and Rs 50,000 to Rs one lakh to the injured in the blasts. Cheques have already been handed over to the families. The Ranga Reddy district Collector reported that 17 persons died and 99 injured persons were admitted to various hospitals. The government was meeting all the medical expenses of those admitted in hospitals.
As a further measure of relief to the victims of the bomb blasts, the State government has decided to provide employment to the next of kin of deceased persons or permanently incapacitated persons in the blasts on compassionate grounds. Employment would be provided to a son or daughter or spouse or grand-son (son’s son) or a grand-daughter (son’s daughter) or grand-son (dependent daughter’s son) or a grand-daughter (dependent daughter’s daughter) of any married person or a brother or a sister or parent of any unmarried person died or totally incapacitated in the bomb blast, irrespective of the age of the deceased.
The State government has authorised the Ranga Reddy Collector to provide compassionate appointment to the next of kin of deceased or permanently disabled in the blasts up to the level of Junior Assistant/Typist depending upon the qualification of the applicant duly following the Rules and Regulations applicable to the scheme of compassionate appointment and provisions of the Presidential Order. The Collector has also been directed to forward the cases in respect of those killed in the bomb blasts, whose domicile was other than Ranga Reddy district, to the respective district Collectors, so as to provide employment to the next of kin who are killed or permanently incapacitated.
