Domestic commercial flights operations resumed in India on May 25, 2020, after remaining suspended for two months, following nationwide lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The two-month disruption due to COVID-19 has caused unprecedented financial loss to the aviation sector as a whole. India’s civil aviation regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), has the extended ban on international flight operations till July 15, 2020.
