Hdyerabad, June 18: The sleek, sporty machine with aerodynamic exteriors, ‘Jazz’, the latest from the Honda stable was launched in city on Wednesday.
Durability
Pegged as the car below Honda City but built on the same platform the global hatchback car, sold in 130 countries and tuned to Indian market, comes with Honda’s trademark of durability, quality and reliability, said Tatsuya Natsume, Director Marketing, Honda Siel Cars India Ltd.
Fuel economy
The Jazz comes with four-cylinder 1.2 litre engine featuring programmed fuel injection to ensure fuel economy of 16 km per litre, best in class safety and Euro IV emission level standards, he said.
The other features include three mode ‘Magic Seat’ configuration to achieve multiple seating and cargo-carrying capacity for long or tall objects in addition to the standard five passenger mode.
The car, available in three variants in manual transmission – Jazz, Jazz Mode and Jazz Active and in six vibrant colours, is priced in the range of Rs.7.14 lakh to Rs.7.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
Asked whether Jazz was priced on the high side, Mr. Natsume said given the features and technology used, it would be a bargain. Jazz was not a small car but a global car for which the response was overwhelming.
He said that Honda was firm about its plans to bring a small car to cater to entry level segment in the next two to three years.
