Hyderabad: Chief Secretary SK Joshi today asked the officials to incorporate steps taken in the draft report of Rivers Rejuvenation project before National Green Tribunal issues orders on environment protection and to give better quality lives to people. During a review meeting on NEERI report at Secretariat here he instructed to prepare the draft plan by January 31. The draft plan should have the guidelines of NGT and details of flagship programs like Haritha Haram, Mission Kakatiya Mission Bhagiratha, Irrigation projects and setting up of parks.
He also asked to propose to set up STPs by finding out pollution stretches in eight rivers in the state. Prepare an executive summary including NEERI report main points and also data of industrial pollution, sewerage pollution, population and ground waters. He also sought for a report plan for three years on rivers rejuvenation, funds, STP and technology.
