Hyderanad, December 09: Amid clamour by the Opposition parties for inroducing a resolution on separate Telangana, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah told the State Assembly today that the Telangana issue was a complex one with wider ramification and the Centre, which was aware of the issue, should be given some time.
Intervening in the State Assembly as the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), CPI and the BJP insisted on passing a resolution for separate Telangana state in the wake of deteriorating health condition of TRS President K Chandrasekhara Rao, whose fast entered the eleventh day today, Mr Rosaiah tried to dispel the perception that the Government was not alert.
He said the Governments, both at the State and the Centre, were aware and fully alive to the situation here and had also appealed to Mr K Chandrasekhara Rao to give up the fast in the larger interest of the people so that the issue could be discussed to find a solution.
