BJP’s Prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Thursday asked the people to give him 60 months in which he will transform the nation.
Addressing a ‘Vijay Shankhnad Rally’ at Manbela in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, Modi said ” Netaji Subhas Bose said Chalo Dilli! He said give me blood I will give you freedom. I say give me 60 months and we will give you a life of peace and happiness. For 60 years you gave chance to Shasaks, now I request you to give a Sevak 60 months.”
Modi said “Congress speaks about the poor all the time. They remember the poor only when elections are near. In so many years, they spoke so much about the poor but there is no change in the condition of the poor.
There is no change in the past 60 years. They do not even have the confidence to tolerate a tea seller.”
“Will you tolerate the insult to the poor? Will you tolerate the party that makes a vote bank of the poor? This is not a subject of a tea seller anymore.
Can you get food in 12 or 5 rupees? If this is not joke on the poor, than what is? It is the poor who suffer and die and the Government in UP and Delhi are not interested in fighting against poverty.
Why is it that poverty has only increased? Reason is Congress sees their gain in keeping the poor in poverty. See their mentality they do not like if a Chaiwallah, a son of a poor mother walks with his head held high,” said Modi.
