Give up LPG subsidy to help the poor

one more shock for the people of T State, now Govt is launching a initiative “give up LPG subsidy to help the needy”.

The Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas is launching a new initiative wherein consumers would be asked to voluntarily give up LPG subsidy to help the needy.

“Though India is rapidly progressing to achieve development, still 36 per cent of homes in the country are dependent on dirty fossil fuels.

Women and children in these homes are subjected to a high level of indoor pollution due to their dependence on such polluting fuels resulting in poor quality of life and illnesses.

The Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has directed the State Government to implement the initiative launched.

A part of our population is being capable of buying domestic LPG at the market price and can give up subsidy,” says a press release from the Telangana’s Commissioner Civil Supplies.
