Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today asked the Centre to release needed funds under AIBP for speedy completion of irrigation projects in Tealngana State. At a review meeting at Secretariat here Harish asked the Centre to release Rs 31 cr for SRSP, Rs 108 cr for Rajiv Bheema immediately. The minister will meet a meeting in Delhi onOct 24 to be chaired by Union Water Resources Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Harish Rao will present the case of Tealngana projects in the crucial meeting and ask Gadkari to release funds for various projects. He will also ask for simplifying norms for permissions for speedy completion of the projects. Harish sought the officials to prepare utilization certificates for projects got sanction of funds from the Centre with details like Rs 470 cr for Devadula, Rs 67 lakhs for Nilvai, Rs 2.6 cr for Mathadi vagu, Rs 32 cr for Jagannathapur project and Rs 2 cr for Gollavagu.
