Hyderabad: Telangana TDP president L Ramana today demanded that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao give accounts for Rs eight lakh crore spent by TRS government during the last 51 months.
Speaking to media at NTR bhavan here today, Ramana alleged that KCR has dissolved the Assembly in advance for the elections. Stating that the TRS had won 63 Assembly seats in the previous elections but increased the strength to 93 members by adopting undemocratic methods, he alleged. He also alleged that KCR has announced the names of candidates for the elections without consulting TRS leaders in most of the constituencies where people opposed the candidates and questioned their inefficiency for not developing the constituency.
“We have achieved Telangana State after many sacrifices. But now there is no respect to feeling of people in the State”, Ramana said, adding that TRS was spending several crores of rupees for election campaigning. Ramana asked as to why KCR was afraid of Kodandaram, who had said that he will not win even as a sarpanch. The State was suffering from TRS termite and Mahakutami would give treatment to free from this, the TDP State chief said. He also said the people gave two-digit victory to the TDP in 2014 elections and for the sake of Mahakutami, he and Ravula Chandrashekhara Reddy were not contesting the elections.
