Girls Outshine Boys This Year too in Intermediate Exam

The girl students have topped the Intermediate results this year too showing their clear domination for the second consecutive year.

The Education Minister Parthasarathi has released the intermediate second year results on Friday at the Intermediate Board. He announced that 65.36 percent of the students have passed the intermediate examinations and 48.60 percent students have got passed in the vocational courses. The girl students topped the examinations with 69.04 percent pass, when compared to the 62 per cent pass by boys. This year the marks were announced in the grades form. The total students got passed 5,51,169, out of 10,10,915 who appeared for the examination. 2,54,258 girls and 2,50,042 boys have got passed the examination.

The students who have passed in A-grade are- 48.31 per cent, B grade-31.81 per cent, C grade-14.99 per cent and D grade -4.90 percent.

Krishna district has stood on top with 77 percent, and Mahbubnagar district was at the bottom of the list with 45 percent. The Government colleges recorded good results by registering 65 percent pass this year. Adilabad district government colleges stood on top with 80 percent pass. Private colleges registered poor results with 30.50 percent.
Speaking on this occasion, the Minister said that the results were good when compared with the last year. He said that last year’s percent was 58.43 and this year the students pass percentage increased by 6.93 more.

He said that the Marks Memos would be sent to the respective colleges by April 30. The students have to apply on or before May 7 for revaluation. He said that the advanced supplementary examinations would be conducted on May 22. Inter first year examinations would be conducted in the morning and second year examination in the afternoon from May 22. The last date for paying the fees was May 6. (NSS)
