Girls outshine boys in senior Inter. results

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today announced Intermediate general and vocational second year courses results here on Monday at Intermediate Board Office at Nampally.

Once again, similar to intermediate first year examination, Ranga Reddy district stood in first place with 75 percent results and Nalgonda remained at last place with 50 percent result. Ranga Reddy 75 percent, Hyderabad 64 percent, Adilabad 54 percent, Warangal 57 percent, Medak 54 percent, Karimnagar 56 percent, Khammam 64 percent, Nizamabad 57 percent, Mahbubnagar 52 percent and Nalgonda 50 percent.
Speaking on this occasion, the Deputy Minister said girls were on top with 66.86 percent pass and boys stood second with 59 percent. He said the result increased when compared with the last two years results. The advanced Intermediate second year supplementary exams will be conducted from May 25 to June 1. The last date for paying fee for advanced supplementary examination is May 6.
Srihari revealed that the last date for recounting and revaluation of answer sheets is May 6. For recounting, one has to pay Rs 100 and for revaluation Rs 600 per each paper. The candidates have to apply online for recounting and revaluation. This year, 25,488 students attended the Intermediate second year examination and 15054 got passed and the pass percentage is 59.06.
