To ensure 100per cent literacy rate among girls, the Nalgonda District Additional Joint Collector P Venkat Rao on Sunday underlined the need to take up a programme with mis-sionary zeal to ensure that every women get educated.
Speaking at International Women’s Day celebrations Venkat Rao said that it is shameful that violence and crime against the women are continuously increasing, and the gender discrimination remained uncontrolled in the rural areas.
He stressed the need to bring a change in the attitude of the society towards the women. The State govt has initiated several programs and schemes to empower women in all sectors, Rao added.
