Girls, glam it up this festive season!

New Delhi [India]: With the festive season knocking the doors, the reasons to go out and refresh your wardrobes have tripled.

So in anticipation of needing to create a whole new avatar for the upcoming festivities, an e-commerce fashion portal Styletag.com has rounded up a few trendy and useful tips.

Festive styling in India is mostly characterised by sequins and mirror works. Making allowance for such style tendencies, one must keep in mind to not go overboard with sequins and to treat it subtly.

Yashodhara Shroff, the founder and director of Styletag.com, has shared some tips to help us to dress up this festival season.

Firstly, factoring in the love for sequins and bling during festivities, bright and soft pastel colours bring in a perfect balance to the look. Ensembles in champagne pink, fushia, faded red, mint green, baby blue etc. would not only add freshness to the look, but sequined attires in these colours would make for that perfect evening wear.

Secodnly, for those wary about wearing sequins, dramatic statement colours would be impeccable for them. With such colours one must however avoid sparkle overload and can finish the look with trending black accessories.

Thirdly, for the lot that prefers dark and earthy colours, accessories are by far the easiest fix to up the glam quotient in the look.

Fourthly, flaunting the love for accessories during the celebrations, one can draw attention to their face with statement necklaces or statement earrings to lift up the mood.

Fifthly, one can also opt for flowing anarkalis with fine embroideries and embellishments for that gracefully feminine look.

Sixth, for functions and celebrations during the day, light breathable fabrics like chiffon or georgette teamed withsubtle highlights of Badla work or Chikankari would be great for an easy going festive look.

Seventh, furthermore, ladies who do not wish to splurge on clothing during festivities too could glam up their look by wearing something simple or perhaps old and simply mix and match it with an embellished jacket or a statement jewellery piece. (ANI)
