A girl student one Jakkula Mounika (16) died on the spot when a speeding lorry hit her on Monday on the Addanki-Narketpally National Highway near Addanki in Prakasham district on Monday.
A youth also received injuries in the accident. The lorry, which was coming from Addanki, ran over Mounika of Uppalapadu village, who was waiting for a bus at Kalavakurudonka Junction. While Mounika died on the spot, Neelam Teja, who stood near Mounika, received injuries in the accident. Local people shifted the injured youth to nearby government hospital at Addanki for treatment.
