New Delhi: A Class IX girl was allegedly molested by her friend’s brother and four of his friends, all suspected to be minors, in East Delhi’s Pandav Nagar area.
While two of the accused have been apprehended by the police, three of them are still absconding, said a senior police officer today.
In her complaint, the girl said that she was told by brother of one of her female friends that she had called her home on Monday. The victim had then accompanied him to her friend’s house where she was molested and pictures of the incident were clicked by the accused, the official said.
All the five accused studied at the same coaching where the girl attended classes, he said.
According to her complaint, when she reached the house, the brother of her friend pushed her in a room and locked it from outside.
Another accused tried to pull her stole while the other one recorded the incident on his mobile, police said.
She then raised an alarm following which locals rescued her. After the incident, she went to her aunt and the accused also reached there and threatened to blackmail her using the pictures clicked by them, they said.
Later, the girl was mocked and teased by the accused, when she was going to school. The incident came to the knowledge of her father who later approached the police.
A case has been registered under Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354 B (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), 506 (criminal intimidation), 34 (common intention) of IPC and Section 8 of POCSO Act, the official added.
