Girl marries cousin to escape step-mother’s harassment, missing mystery solved

Hyderabad: 16-year-old, Yasmeen Fatima, daughter of Syed Qamaruddin, resident of Hafez Baba Nagar, who was missing from Kanchan Bagh since 28th April 2016, was found in Jhansi, Madhya Pradesh. Her father Syed Qamaruddin, who is physically handicap, had lodged complaint with Kanchan Bagh police station and suspected that one Radha might have kidnapped the girl. Not finding the girl even after 10 months, the matter was taken to Director General of Police, Anurag Sharma. On the direction of DGP, Commissioner of Police M Mahendra Reddy instructed Kanchan Bagh police to intensify the search.

With the help of mobile phone number, the police team reached Jhansi, Madhya Pradesh and recovered Yasmeen Fatima. During investigation it was found that the girl was not abducted but she had run away from home with her cousin to escape harassment of her step-mother. They went to Jhansi and got married and settled there itself.
