Moradabad: Recently, in a video, a teenage girl was seen giving free hugs to Muslim youths on the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr.
As per the media reports, she was giving hugs outside a mall in Moradabad District, Uttar Pradesh. In the video, boys can be seen hugging and taking selfies along with the girl.
According to the report published in Times of India, after the video went viral, the District Imam has declared the act as “un-Islamic”. The cleric said that the youths also violated Shariat laws.
Talking to media persons, Maulana Mufti Mohammed Ashrafi, District Imam told that he spoke to the girl and explained that such act is un-Islamic. He also confirmed that she committed this mistake in innocence.
Maulana Ashrafi further said that the youths who committed this mistake should also repent and never repeat it.
