A Gang rape incident in Rangareddy district came to light on Friday, a day after it took place. According to police, a father and his daughter were traveling in an auto to go to his native village Ijrachittampally Thanda in Bantwaram mandal from Vikarabad town on Thursday night. At Barwad Railway Gate, four unidentified youth stopped the auto and took away the girl from the auto attacking her father. The four persons’ gang raped and killed the girl brutally and they escaped from the spot.
On Friday, coming to know about the incident, Vikarabad rural CI Ranga, Bantwaram SI Ravindra visited the spot and reviewed the situation. The police pressed into service sniffer dogs and started investigation. The police were suspecting the role of the auto driver as there was no auto at the spot after the incident. The police were trying to catch the auto driver. (NSS)
