Jalandhar, March 12: A college student was today booked for murder of a 17-year-old girl studying in the same college after she was found dead in mysterious circumstances in his car near Nakodar here.
The accused Harpinder Singh (22) was, however, admitted in Dayanand Medical College (DMC) & Hospital Ludhiana where his condition is stated to be serious, police said.
Police said that two persons, claiming to be Singh’s friends, and had brought the victim Satbir Kaur and Singh to a hospital but after the girl was declared dead, she was deserted in the car and the boy was rushed to DMC.
Nakodar DSP Rajinder Singh said Kaur, a student of local DAV College and resident of village Chak Windal, had come from home to appear in her exam. However, when she did not return, her family started looking for her.
