Srinagar: Embarrassment led a girl to commit suicide in J&K’s Pulwama district after a man allegedly posted her objectionable pictures on social media, police said on Friday.
The girl committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance after she learned that the accused has objectionable pictures of her on social media, IndiaToday reports.
The girl’s age has not been revealed yet but the accused has been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Khanday.
According to the Police spokesperson, the victim committed suicide at her home in the Murran area of Pulwama district.
The police has imposed charges of abetting suicide of the girl on the accused.
