Girl Child empowerment bill did not receive cabinet nod

A.P. Girl Child Upliftment and Empowerment bill could not receive cabinet nod in the recently held meeting because some ministers has raised objections. It is being presumed as the defeat of Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy since these bill accords legal sanctity to the proposed Bangaru Talli scheme. C.M. accepted the proposal of some ministers to form a cabinet to review this bill. This proposed bill is to be presented in Assembly in it sessions starting on 10th June. The cabinets of committee has to prepare a fresh draft of this bill. If it fails to do so, the bill cant be presented in the next assembly session. In such a case Govt. will issue an ordinance to provide a legal status to Bangaru Talli scheme. This scheme became controversial because some ministers made criticism against it publicly. Dr. D.L.Ravindra Reddy, former Health Minster has been dismissed from the cabinet for criticizing this scheme. Transport Minister and Congress President, Mr. Botsa Satyanarayana had raised this issue in cabinet meeting. He is one of the ministers who expressed his displeasure against this scheme. Panchayat Raj Minister, Mr. K.Jana Reddy also supported the stand taken by Mr. Satyanarayana. Participating in the discussions, the other ministers suggested to refer the proposed enactment to a cabinet sub-committee. C.M. reluctantly accepted this proposal. He told his colleagues that in future cabinet meeting will be held every forth night instead of once a month.
