Gilani’s son accused in drugs case

Ali Musa Gilani, the recently-elected parliamentarian son of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, was on Thursday named as an accused in an investigation report submitted to the Supreme Court on illegal allocation of the controlled drug Epherdine.

A day ahead of his son’s name featuring in the investigation report prepared by the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), the Prime Minister asked Mr. Musa Gilani, who is honeymooning in South Africa, to return to Pakistan. He had left for his “delayed” honeymoon earlier this month amid reports that the ANF had asked the Interior Ministry to put his name on the Exit Control List.

When the ANF started tightening the screws on his son, the Prime Minister took the federal Cabinet into confidence last week about what he described as a “malicious campaign against” Mr. Musa Gilani.
