London: Italy produced an outstanding team performance as they cruised to a 2-0 win over Belgium in their opening Group E clash of the European Championship at Stade des Lumieres in Lyon on Tuesday.
Two stunning goals from mid-fielder Emanuele Giaccherini and striker Graziano Pelle gave Italy a perfect start to their Euro campaign.
Giaccherini put his side ahead in the 32nd minute of the match by providing a tidy finish to a long Leonardo Bonucci pass, the Guardian reported.
Pelle then ensured to give his side with a perfect finish by doubling the lead just few minutes before the stoppage time.
Italy , who have climbed up to the top of the table, will now take on Sweden while Belgium will play against Ireland. (ANI)
