GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy informed that the corporation has collected Rs. 300 crores from 1st April to 28th June.
Compared to previous years, this year the GHMC’s collection has increased by Rs. 83 crores registering an increase of 38.2%. However, the collection of Trade License fee has declined. Compared to Rs. 28.48 crore collected in 2015-16, this year the collection under Trade License was Rs. 23.19 crore from 1st April to 28th June.
The GHMC Commissioner said that the introduction of weekly bumper draw of Property Tax, sponsored by the State Bank of Hyderabad, has yielded good collection. He has appealed the people to pay Property Tax before June 30th to avoid paying of penalty. (INN)
