Hyderabad: With the arrival of monsoon, once again GHMC came into action to dismantle dilapidated buildings in Hyderabad City limits.
It may be mentioned that this year, 1194 dilapidated buildings were identified out of which 413 buildings were dismantled and 175 building owners sought permission to repair their buildings and got the work completed.
Giving the details of the drive to dismantle dilapidated buildings, Commissioner of GHMC, Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy told that on 18th June, 47 such buildings were dismantled. Most of these buildings were vacant.
The commissioner of GHMC further informed that this drive would continue till all the buildings are dismantled or repair works are taken up. He instructed the subordinate staff to commission the owners of such buildings and counsel them to vacate the buildings.
