GHMC to arrange training for SHGs

As a part of improvement in efficiency and livelihood of Self Help Groups, GHMC Commissioner & Special Officer Somesh Kumar held a meeting with the Ravi Parthasarathi, Chairman of Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL&FS) to give training to the Self Help Groups and youth.

During the discussions, the Commissioner informed the ILFS chief about the livelihood and developmental activities taken up by the GHMC which include Owner Cum Driver, Rs. 5/- food scheme, E-van and their success. He further said that the Government of Telangana is spending Rs. 21,000 crores to develop the City Infrastructure by taking up elevated flyovers, junction improvements etc.,

The Commissioner said there were about 39,000 SHGs in the GHMC limits and they need to be imparted proper training.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner informed that a new power plant of 11 MW has been taken up by ILFS at Bibinagar and it would become operational in the month of August.

Engineer-in-Chief R Dhan Singh, Additional Commissioners N. Ravi Kiran and Jayaraj Kennedy and officials from IL&FS have participated in the meeting. (INN)
