GHMC takes up repairs to 489 roads in city

The GHMC has taken up repair of roads damaged due to rains and stagnated water on a war-footing. The GHMC has identified 45 badly damaged roads where repair works were taken up. These roads are being laid as a permanent solution.

It was decided to repair 489 roads damaged due to heavy rains that lashed the city. Of these, 399 roads would be laid with BT roads with a cost of Rs 66 crore, 75 cc roads with a cost of Rs 7.30 crore and 45 roads with paver block method with a cost of Rs 40 lakh. The roads where paver blocks were used were: Khairtabad KCP junction, Ramnagar fish market, Srinagar colony main road, Satyasai Nigmanigam, Filmnagar road no.87, Jubille hills oad no.32, rajbhavan road junction, Mogal ka nala, and Hafizpet main road.
