GHMC takes up beautification of flyovers

Hyderabad: The GHMC has taken up beautification works of flyovers under its limits. As part of program, the GHMC would spend Rs 1.6 crore for Secunderabad flyover for colourful paintings and greenery works besides LED lightings.

The Corporation also sanctioned Rs nine lakh for developing gardens and laying of railings on flyover between Secunderabad-Patney and Central Telegraph office road. The beautification works of flyover was going on and North Zone Commissioner J Shankariah, along with other officials, supervised the works and directed them to complete the works in time.

The GHMC has plans to take up beautification of all flyovers on par with flyovers in Delhi. As part of first phase, beautification works of Masab Tank, Basheerbagh, Punjagutta, Greenlands, Telugu Talli, Harahara Kala Bhavan, CTO, Begumpet flyover would be taken up and completed. Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy said all works would be completed by the Corporation itself. (NSS)
