GHMC taken up sanitation works at important tourist places

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad City is having many Tourist places where more than 20,000 tourists are visiting Hyderabad city every day.

The GHMC has taken up Sanitation works on more priority basis deploying one Special Officer for each tourist spots places like Charminar, Golkonda, Quli Qutubshah Tombs, Birla Mandir, Mecca Masjid, Salarjung Museum, Shilparamam and Tank Bund.

The GHMC has got the best Tourist Award in the year 2017 for taking up Swachh programmes regularly to keep up the image of the GHMC such programmes has to be taken up in all the tourist spots to provide all basic minimum facilities for the convenience of the tourists said the Commissioner, GHMC.

The Commissioner, GHMC directed all the ZCs, DCs, AMOHs to personally monitor and to take up Swachh awareness campaigns especially with regard to ploging involving RWAs, NGOs etc., to improve the facilities more at the tourist spots basing on the importance of the tourist places in the Hyderabad City.

It has been observed that every day around 20,000 tourists visit GHMC but on holidays and Sundays more than 35,000 are visiting keeping in view of the importance of tourists the GHMC is taking up all necessary works at the tourists places as being done at CPP Project.

As per the directions of municipal administration minister K.T. Rama Rao, mayor DR.B. Rammohan, GHMC has taken up these activities on war footing basis, said the Commissioner, GHMC.(NSS)
