GHMC Commissioner Dr B. Janardhan Reddy has said the GHMC was planning to strengthen the IT department of GHMC with more facilities for serving the citizens in a more appropriate manner to take up the Administration duly updating the existing system for the convenience of the citizens.
In this connection, the GHMC Commissioner, Director for Central for Good Governance Rajendra Nimje, along with NIC, GHMC and CGG officials held a special meeting at GHMC Head Office today. Dr Janardhan Reddy, while interacting with the officials said the existing Information Technology and the administration was being strengthened with more facilities to have clear picture and clarity to have access to the citizens to utilize the services of the GHMC to solve their grievances through my GHMC APP.
So far, my GHMC app has helped the citizens in many ways and most of the citizens have downloaded the app and utilized these services to solve their grievances immediately by sitting at one place. The Commissioner said the problems relating to online payment of property tax and other main activities like mutations, trade license and so on, the GHMC was updating the system for clear transparency to the citizens.
In this connection, the GHMC requested the CGG authorities to coordinate with the GHMC to complete the work pertaining to updating of the website on priority. The GHMC was also planning to involve various NGOs to take up social responsibilities with the help of the website, the Commissioner said. (NSS)
