GHMC Mayor Mohammed Majid Hussain said that the GHMC was striving very hard for the development of sports.
Addressing the closing ceremony of South Zone Summer Coaching camp here, the Mayor said that the camp has got tremendous participation of the children in this year Summer Coaching Camps. He said that 1,71,738 children including 40,000 girls participated in summer coaching camps this year. Of them, nearly 10,000 girls have taken up self defense martial arts.
The Mayor praised the senior citizens who performed extremely well with regard to Yoga demonstration at the age of 70 years. He said that the suggestion of Chamrinar MLA Ahmed Pasha Quadri the matter with regard to issuing of uniform to wear at the particular events to show the unity, uniformity, without the differences of caste, creed, etc would be considered. He also assured to enhance the remuneration of the coaches as they were being paid very less wages when compared to that of hard work in the summer coaching camps.
Majid Hussain has declared the closing ceremony of the summer coaching camps 2013 of the South Zone held at Quli Qutub Shah Stadium at South Zone.
Speaking on the occasion, Ahmed Pasha Quadri praised the services rendered by the sports wing and coaches who were deeply involved in the Sports inspite of lesser remuneration. He also suggested that GHMC must provide uniforms to the participants to have oness among them.
Deputy Mayor G Rajkumar, Corporators MA Gaffar, Ranjana Devi Goel, Shakeel Ahmed, Zonal Commissioner (South) N Ravi Kiran, and other senior officials have attended the closing ceremony of South Zone summer coaching camps. (INN)
