Hyderabad, January 29 (INN): The Health and Sanitation wing of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation on Saturday temporarily closed down two hotel for not maintaining hygienic conditions in their premises.
The GHMC officials conducted surprise visits in the areas of Nizampet Road at Kukatpally and inspected 27 eating establishments. The officials temporarily shut down Sri Sai Mayuri Tiffins and Meals and Sai Krishna Tiffins and Meals as they did not maintain hygienic conditions.
Further, six eating establishments were prosecuted for violating the bye-Laws of the HMC Bye-Laws for the Regulation of Eating Houses (or) Hotels, 1973. They are Raju Chinese Fast Food, Sri Lakshmi Curries, Land Mark Bakers and Confectionaries, R.S. Communication Centre & Fast Food Centre, Hotel Sai Mourya Tiffin Centre and Anupama Take Away.
Further, the GHMC has also served notices another seven eating establishments to rectify the defects found.
The GHMC has requested the managements of all types of eating establishments to maintain their kitchen and premises in hygienic condition and obtain trade license. They should provide wholesome drinking water and serve freshly prepared food to the customers.
The GHMC said it would conduct periodical inspections of all types of eating establishments throughout the GHMC. (INN)
